About Us
Krazy World opened in 1994 as the first American-style mini golf course in the Algarve, located in a peaceful rural setting.
In 1996, the first animals were welcomed, immediately sparking the enthusiasm of families and children, who loved interacting with them.
As the park grew and evolved, Krazy World was officially recognized as a zoo in 1998, becoming a licensed zoological park dedicated to conservation, education, and leisure for all ages.
Today, 70% of our species come to us through animal rescue organizations such as AAP AAP Exotic Animal Rescue Center (Netherlands), ICNF ICNF – Portuguese Institute for Nature Conservation, and RIAS Algarve Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
Our main mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all rescued animals.
Our concept has always been to offer a nature-filled experience for families. We offer a variety of interactions and daily shows with our exotic animals, a large zoo area, pools with slides, tree climbing, pony and donkey rides, and our 18-hole mini golf.
We are proud of our restaurant, serving fantastic homemade pizzas, with the option to enjoy our sunny terrace overlooking the pools.
The park atmosphere is welcoming yet relaxed, featuring abundant green areas and lush trees. Parents can unwind on the sun loungers while children enjoy the pools with slides. All of this, just a short distance from the lively beach resorts of Albufeira and Vilamoura.
